Fitted Shoes and Ankle Boots

Our shoes and ankle boots start from a size 35 (UK2) and go up to a size 42 (UK9). Please note that there may be certain styles that are available in sizes 36 (UK3) to 42 (UK9) only.

Take a look at our size guide below to find your size in Continental, UK, US and Australian sizings.

Our ankle boots are available in 3 different foot widths (just like our width fitting shoes): narrow, standard and wide.
They don’t come in a range of ankle measurements; however you will find that the narrow width fitting in the foot will offer a narrower ankle fitting, and the wide width fitting in the foot ensures a wider fit on the ankle. Going up in shoe sizes, the ankle size will also increase slightly. A few ankle boot styles have laces which can be adjusted to guarantee a good fit on the ankle as well as foot.

You may also want to consider our range of mid calf boots, as these will give you an uncompromised fit on the calf without coming up to your knee, creating a different look. In our mid-calf boots collection you will find styles suitable for shorter legs or which simply provide an alternative to full-length boots.

Our shoes and ankle boots start at a size 35 (UK2) and go up to a size 42 (UK9) in many styles, but we do not offer half sizes. We will always do our best to help you find the right fit, and having a perfect fit across the width of the shoe often helps to secure the perfect overall fit. Sometimes you may simply need a wider fitting rather than an extra half size in length. You may try a size up with an insole, which provides padding and more comfort for your foot in the shoes. Please look at our product reviews here to get a better idea of the fit of each of the styles. Contact us at 0330 100 3455 or email us here for advice on what styles and sizes to try if you tend to be in between sizes.

Take a fabric tape measure and place it on the floor cm side down.

1. Put your foot flat on the floor and stand firmly on the tape measure.

2. Measure around the circumference of your foot at its widest point. This is usually from the bone just below your big toe, to the bone below your little toe (N.B. The tape measure should be at a slight angle).

3. Make a note of your measurement. Foot size can vary, so please measure both feet and use the wider measurement.

4. In the Search by Size tool, click on your continental foot size and then choose your corresponding width fitting; ‘narrow’, ‘standard’ or ‘wide’. E.g. if you are a foot size 37 and your feet measure 21.5cm then you would be ‘narrow’.

Ted&Muffy shoes come in 3 different widths to ensure fit, comfort and effortless style. As a first time buyer, follow these useful tips:

1. Before measuring your feet for a perfect Ted&Muffy fit, follow our comprehensive fitting advice here.

2. If you usually wear socks or tights with your shoes, wear them when you measure your foot width.

3. Don’t try to squeeze into ill fitting shoes. This can cause pain and damage to your feet, sometimes causing them to swell.
