Given the current heatwave - autumn, winter, knitwear and coats may seem like a long way off. However, as the new season comes around so quickly, we’ve been keeping a look out for the new trends waiting to hit the high street!

From what we’ve seen on the AW18 catwalks, knee high and ankle boots will be wardrobe essentials next season. With so many boot styles out there, it’s difficult to decide what to go for, so we’ve compiled our top five boot trends to help you jump one step ahead before the autumn. We also really couldn’t resist giving you a little taste of the new DuoBoots collection that’s just around the corner…

Since the revival of the seventies trend, over-the-knee boots have made a comeback season after season and we’re thrilled to see this trend is set to continue. We’ve spotted some gorgeous over-the-knee looks on the catwalks, with bold colours such as red and burgundy standing out for us.

This season we’re embracing the OTK trend with a range of flat and heeled over-the-knee options. OTKs are easier to style than you might think; pair with anything from belted dresses and baggy layers to this season’s patterned dresses.

Our Parkhurst boots are made in luxury burgundy or black suede and feature an on-trend chisel shaped toe.

We’ve already been embracing the Western trend through our SS18 boot and ankle boot collections, and it looks like it’s here to stay! Boots are at the heart of the Western inspired looks for next season; versatile and fun, wear them all day and dress them up for evening.

We’ve added a new colour choice to a customer favourite, Phoenix. Currently available in Black Nubuck it will be joined by a Tan Leather option, which has a beautiful rustic finish and is ideal for laidback yet polished styling. We also have some brand new Western inspired boots and ankle boots joining the collection, so keep your eyes peeled!

From Christian Dior and Antonio Berardi, designers were lacing up this season’s shows with a laidback 90s feel!

Our knee high Marvel boot returns next season in both Tan Leather and Black Leather, plus the hugely popular Balla ankle boot will be available in Grey Suede and Black Leather as well as being continued in this year’s favourite Tan Leather.

We love to see metallics; whether they’re on clothes or boots and we think a pair of metallic ankle boots looks great with a pair of jeans!

Darwin is a brand new Chelsea boot style and we hope you’ll love it! Available in a choice of coloured suedes and featuring a flash of metallic leather at the heel, this is a go-to ankle boot for all occasions. The metallic leather adds a touch of glamour, making this the ideal style for day and evening looks alike.

The khaki is a classic autumnal shade, but you’ll also be able to choose from navy, animal or camel. Watch this space for even more metallic styles coming your way soon...

Last but not least, blush pink has made a huge impact on AW18 catwalks and is set to be one of the biggest trends for this autumn. We’ve already seen plenty of pink in SS18 fashion, as it’s embraced by everyone from Stella McCartney to Celine. When it comes to footwear, shades of pink can act as an elegant neutral or as a colour to complement almost any outfit; we’re expecting to see pale pink coats and knitwear on the high street any day soon!

Our Kinver boots in Blush Pink Suede are simple, elegant and have a flattering pointed toe. Ideal for a chic look for day with skinny jeans and flowing knitwear, or for night with a pleated skirt or a dress.

It's all in the fit

As ever with DuoBoots, not only will our new collection include classic designs and styles inspired by the very latest trends, but our knee high and over-the-knee boots also come in a choice of calf size for a beautiful fit! Our unique designs of ankle boots are also available in a choice of standard or wide fit.
